The Ideal Expert TIG 220 AC/DC PULSE is a portable power source built on IGBT technology. It enables welding using TIG, TIG PULSE with both alternating current (AC) and direct current (DC), as well as MMA welding with direct current (DC). Due to its compact size and weight, the welder is suitable for both workshop and field applications. It allows for welding at 155 A with a 100% duty cycle and at 200 A with a 60% duty cycle. The machine is constructed to protection class IP23. The welder weighs 13 kg and its dimensions are 510 x 150 x 310 mm.
The welder supports the following welding modes: TIG DC, TIG DC PULSE, TIG AC, TIG AC PULSE, MMA.
Direct current (DC) welding modes are used for welding stainless steel, carbon and low-alloy steels, copper, and titanium. Alternating current (AC) welding modes are used for welding aluminum and its alloys, as well as brass.
By adjusting the parameters of TIG PULSE welding, the user can influence the shape of the weld and the focus of the arc. Another feature of pulsed welding is that it allows reducing the amount of heat delivered to the material and is also useful for welding thin materials.
The device allows for arc ignition in both contactless (HF) and contact (LIFT) modes. Contactless mode is used in environments with a high risk of electromagnetic interference.
In both ignition modes, there is an option to choose between 2-tact and 4-tact operation (used for longer welds).
The welder features a clear and user-friendly digital control panel that allows for precise adjustment of the device and ensures stable parameters and high-quality welding. Additionally, it has 9 memory slots for storing user welding programs.
The digital display allows adjustment of parameters such as: initial shielding gas flow, initial current, current rise time, welding current, base current, current drop time, final current, final shielding gas flow, pulse length, pulse frequency, intermittent welding length, HOT START, and ARC FORCE. From the control panel, you can select a triangular, rectangular, or sinusoidal AC voltage waveform.
The device also offers a range of advantages and functions such as:
IGBT – Modern transistors ensuring minimal electromagnetic interference and low power loss. Additionally, they enhance performance and extend the reliability of the welder.
2T/4T – The 2-stroke mode is best suited for shorter welds, while the 4-stroke mode is ideal for longer welds.
JONIZATOR HF – CONTACTLESS ARC IGNITION – Controls the welding torch using a button.
PULS – A function that improves control over the welding process and the quality of the weld. It is particularly useful in forced positions. It reduces spatter and provides less heat input, which is very helpful for thinner materials as well as those with increased thermal conductivity, such as aluminum alloys.
HOT START (hot start adjustment) – A function that facilitates electrode ignition by providing a higher welding current at each arc initiation.
ANTI-STICK (anti-stick function) – Automatically turns off the welding voltage if the electrode sticks to the workpiece, making it easier to detach and preventing accidental arc formation.
ARC FORCE (arc force adjustment) – Facilitates the transfer of molten electrode droplets to the workpiece, preventing the arc from extinguishing when the electrode droplet contacts the weld pool.
The Ideal Expert TIG 220 AC/DC welder is equipped with a TIG SR 26 torch with a length of 4 meters.
The device can be connected to remote control pedals. This solution is ideal for applications where frequent changes in current intensity are needed and improves efficiency and weld quality.
Power is supplied through a single-phase 230 V network. The welder is equipped with a power plug.
The welder comes with a 12-month warranty for professional use. Warranty service is provided in a door-to-door system with no transport costs to the customer.
