The Optrel Crystal 2.0 self-darkening visor is the flagship product of the Swiss company Optrel, packed with technology that allows you to perform work in a faster, easier and safer way. It is a fully automatic welder's helmet with very clear vision, both before and during welding (light level of 2.0 in combination with Crystal Lens technology). Crystal Lens Technology (CLT) guarantees perfect and crystalline vision, comparable to transparent glass. This means that as much as 92% of the colors visible through the visor of the visor match real colors. This effect was also achieved thanks to the very low darkening of the Crystal visor. Blackout level 2.0 makes visibility so good and precise that you may feel as if you were not wearing a welding helmet at all. The field of view of the visor is 50x100mm. The switching time from light to dark is 0.10ms at room temperature and 0.07ms at 55°C, and from dark to light from 0.1s to 2.0s.
The mask is ideal for electrode welding (Stick Welding, SMAW), MIG/MAG (shielded metal arc welding, GMAW), high-performance GMAW welding, filler wire welding, TIG welding (TIG, GTAW), plasma welding, plasma cutting, welding gas, grinding and grinding mode. In grinding mode, the visor provides a very clear view. Autopilot provides a tailored level of protection, automatically adjusting the degree of darkness depending on visibility conditions and the current welding method in a wide range of 4-12 DIN with an individual calibration option of ± 2. This is possible thanks to an additional sensor that precisely monitors the welding arc intensity. This provides comprehensive protection in every situation, regardless of the current used. There is no need to manually adjust settings, as everything is automatically controlled even in the event of very sudden brightness changes. Clear vision reduces fatigue, thereby increasing work efficiency by up to 30% by shortening breaks, improving welding accuracy and reducing the need for rework. Reduces the number of accidents, thereby increasing safety. The visor has 3 sensors. The mask is covered with a special varnish that reflects thermal radiation and ensures the appropriate temperature inside, which translates into comfort of use. Convenient positioning of the mask with one movement and a comfortable fascia that perfectly distributes the weight additionally affect the comfort of using the helmet.
The low weight of only 497g makes Optrel Crystal 2.0 one of the lightest face shields available on the market. The helmet can be expanded, e.g. with an IsoFit headgear and many other accessories. The welding mask is powered by solar energy and two CR2032 batteries, which allow for 3,000 hours of operation. Under normal use, there is no need to replace the battery because the helmet is charged with ambient light and the energy of the welding arc radiation. The manufacturer provides a two-year warranty for the face shield, but it can be extended for another year after registering on the manufacturer's website within the first 6 months from the date of purchase.
