Lincoln LNT 309LSi steel rods, type ER309LSi / W 23 12 LSi, contain an increased amount of silicon, which improves the fluidity of the weld pool and its wettability. This ensures a smooth weld face with a regular shape. The weld metal contains approximately 12% delta ferrite, thus providing increased resistance to hot cracking. LNT 309LSi rods can also be used for welding clad steels that operate at temperatures up to 300 ºC. The most important applications of bars include general production and surfacing. Welding takes place in an inert Ar gas shield (100%).
