Lincoln LNT 347Si steel rods, type ER347Si / W 19 9 Nb Si, contain niobium, which reduces the risk of intergranular corrosion caused by the precipitation of chromium carbides. The weld metal is resistant to corrosion in contact with liquids up to a temperature of 400 °C. The increased silicon content improves the fluidity of the weld pool and wettability, which ensures a smooth, regular-shaped weld face. The most important applications of LNT 347Si rods include the processing industry and welding of stainless steel intended for work at high temperatures. Welding takes place in the inert gas shield Ar (100%).
